BiographySerena Strother Wilson, 77, passed away on February 9, 2012 at her home. Retired from Columbus Public Schools. Mother of The Path Ministry Church. Preceded in death by father Milton Strother; mother, Mary Eva Strother; brothers Dunivin Strother, William Strother , Command Sergeant Major William (Elizabeth) Lawrence; son Howard Anthony Wilson and granddaughter Angel Coleman. Survived by husband Dr. Howard L. Wilson; sister, Viola (Sinclair) Witcher; three daughters, Maria Denese Tate, Teresa (Calvin) Kemp and Jasmine Nicole Thomas-Wilson; granddaughters, Amber (Dane) Wilson, Tanisha Thomas, Natasha (Miles) Sullivan, Kir (Devin) Whatley; grandsons, Steven Howard Wilson and Calvin Howard Kemp; special uncle and aunt Fredrick (Rebecca) Jefferson; very special high school teachers, June Mitchell Glover and Dorothy Dexter Alexander; a host of sisters-in-laws, God children, nieces, nephews, great grand children, cousins too numerous to name, but they all knew she truly loved them.
