Deloris Jean Howard, 57, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 2, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Deloris was born on Feb. 17, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Treophia and the late James Jenkins. She was a devoted member of First Church of God where she served as a Deaconess, worked in the Children's Nursery, and a facilitator in Growing Your Marriage Ministry. A 1971 graduate of The Little Rock Central High School and earned an Associates Degree in Geriatrics from Ohio Dominican College. Employed by Central Benefits Insurance Company, The Woodlands Assisted Living and The Breathing Association of Central Ohio. Deloris is survived by her loving husband, Vernard; sons, Horace “Ron” (Anitra) and Javas; mother, Treophia Jenkins of Little Rock, AR; siblings, Joyce of Little Rock, AR, James (Pamela) of Snellville GA, Virgil (Rhonda) of Garland, TX and Alicia of Little Rock, AR.; In-laws, Dailetta Lavender, Elizabeth Allen, Faye Jones, Ernest (Alvenia) Wright of Savannah, GA, Pamela (Cephus) Thomas and Alex Wright of Columbia, So. Carolina, Kenneth (Laurine) Wright of Indianapolis, IN and Eric (Lillian) Wright of Marino Valley, California; grandson, Mark Black-Mahan and God-children, Ambrielle and Emmanuel Coleman and Daniel Patman; her First Church of God Family and a host of other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
